As my eyesight became worse, I sometimes thought of it as a house on fire, being consumed, which is where this image came from.  In Asian art, spiritual masters are often surrounded by a halo of flames, as is this eye.  The pyramid with inset eye represents the all-seeing Eye of Horus. The inverted blue triangle is a reflection of the golden triangle above it and symbolizes the duality of life.
